Meet Greg Napolitan – the owner
Who is Greg Napolitan?
I am a former Marine, an MBA, and Entrepreneur, a part-time stay-at-home dad (the toughest job I’ve had!) and husband to my lovely wife Kate (the best job I’ve had!)
What inspired you to start Bamboo Styles?
Kate and I were vacationing in Costa Rica in 2005, and we stayed at a resort that used bamboo sheets. It was then that I began thinking about starting a company selling bamboo products, because I just knew it would be a hit! Bamboo Styles opened for business in June 2006.
How exactly do you work to build customer trust?
Without trying to sound cliché, we put customer service first. We are constantly reviewing customer experiences and feedback to help us improve as a company. We are in the middle of our 4th web design change in order to make the customer’s shopping experience more convenient and intuitive. And when a customer contacts us, I am usually the one answering the phone or responding to the email! I choose to spend the majority of my time in a customer service role because I want to know what my customers are experiencing. I couldn’t get that insight if I outsourced our call center overseas, now could I!?
What is your future vision for Bamboo Styles?
I would like to see our product lines continue to grow, both vertically and horizontally. I am constantly looking for designers and companies who offer great bamboo products at affordable prices. Finding affordable, high quality products is definitely a challenge, that’s why we will most likely venture into other natural fibers – as long as they serve our customer’s needs.
